I spotted this clever re-used iron bicycle wheel mirror from CB2 over at pointclickhome. I love nice mirrors and this is surprisingly pretty!

Happy (Organic) Humpday Hoodies!

Normally, I save my humpday hoodie posting for freshpinkstyle, but since all of these hoodies are organic, they deserve to be over with the fresh green inspiration. I've been spending a lot of time lusting over expensive, organic fashion items over at Stewart + Brown lately. There's quite a few items with hoodies in the mix. Take a look. Hooded Coat

Tom Binns Cardboard Jewelry

An old schoolmate of mine, Nikki G. has the fun privilege of working for jewelry maker, Tom Binns. Influenced by the Dada movement, Mr. Binns has been crafting jewelry that is often made of vintage pieces, since the early 80's. He has collaborated with famous folks like Vivienne Westwood. The first lady is a fan of his jewelry. I was interested to see that he just debuted his new line called "Get Real" crafted out of cardboard collages mixed with magazine clippings and attached jewels. This piece is a bit eighties-looking, but very clever. (via Refinery29 Pipeline)

Verde Design Studio

I am really excited for an internship project that I am about to start. The goal is to turn an existing work space of an office into a green lounge for lectures and discussions. The work I am doing is for a local architecture company that is pairing up with a division of Lexus Hybrid Agency, called Verde Design in Chicago. They specialize in sustainable furniture and vintage pieces.

They use nontoxic glues, waterbased finishes (no VOC) and low VOC lacquers. All of the materials that are used for the designs are recycled, recyclable or biodegradable. I am delighted to see that many of the furniture pieces are also very sleek and appealing. Here's what is at the top of my list to use for this project.

The Cantwell Banquet. We need to squeeze a lot of folks into this space.
The Odum Chair.Or the Meyer Chair. I also like the Big M bench.Or the Hoffmeyer bench.
